THE PROBLEM OF NATIONALITY.
Upon the question of nationality the Russian Communist Party adopts the following theses:
- Of primary importance is the policy of uniting the proletarians and semi-proletarians of various nationalities in a joint revolutionary struggle for the overthrow of the landlords and the bourgeoisie.[§55-77& 60.]
- In order to overcome the feelings of suspicion which the working masses in any oppressed land entertain towards the proletariat of the oppressor State, it is essential to annul any and every privilege on the part of any national group, to secure complete national equality, and to recognise that colonies and oppressed nationalities have a full right to secede.[§58.]
- To secure these ends, the party recommends (as a transitional step towards complete union) a federative union of all the States which are organised on a soviet basis.
