John says expressly (5:22), “the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment to the Son.” And this is not repugnant to that other place, “I came not to judge the world”: for this is spoken of the world present, the other of the world to come; as also where it is said that at the second coming of Christ ( Matt. 19:28), “Ye that have followed me in the regeneration, when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye shall also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
