âWhatâ ââ ⊠what they have brought us to!â KutĂșzov suddenly cried in an agitated voice, evidently picturing vividly to himself from Prince AndrĂ©yâs story the condition Russia was in. âBut give me time, give me time!â he said with a grim look, evidently not wishing to continue this agitating conversation, and added: âI sent for you to keep you with me.â
âI thank your Serene Highness, but I fear I am no longer fit for the staff,â replied Prince AndrĂ©y with a smile which KutĂșzov noticed.
KutĂșzov glanced inquiringly at him.
